LOU ELLA MCGOWEN ARCHER, 96, of Granbury,
TX, passed away on Sept. 18, 2018, with burial in
the Friendship Cemetery at Tolar, TX.
Lou Ella was born on Sept. 11, 1922, in Ranger, TX
to Ethel (McCluskey) & John McGowen. She graduated
from Ranger High School in 1940. She married the
love of her life, Frank Archer in July of 1944 in
San Diego, CA. Frank preceded her in death in 1974.
Lou Ella retired from Bell Telephone in 1982 after
39 dedicated years of service. She was an active
member of The First Baptist Church of Granbury
and a lifetime member of the Garden Club.
Lou Ella is survived by her nephew: Stanly Archer
of Science Hill, KY; nieces: Dorothy L. Loftin of
Granbury, Billie Mae Crofford of Celesta, TX,
Rosemary Royalty of Glen Rose, TX, Barbara Sue
Ohlhausen of Winona, TX, Wanda Ferguson of Whittier,
CA, and Patsy Jones of Howe, TX; and countless
great-nieces and great-nephews.
