Ranger Exes Memorial - RHS Class of 1942 RJC

Thomas Townzen THOMAS OTIS TOWNZEN, 74, was born May 12, 1924, to Grayson Arthur & Edna Mae Scroggins Townzen in Strawn, TX. He grew up in Ranger attending Ranger High School and Ranger Jr. College at Ranger, TX. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII from 1942-1951. A retired consultant, he had lived in Hemet for the past 10 years. He was a consultant/owner of Townzen-Hamilton Enterprise, Inc. in Long Beach for 25 years. He was a member of Masonic Lodge in Riverside and Elks Club in Hemet. He was an avid golfer, & loved to travel. He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Della; a son, Steve of Bakersfield; two daughters, Delayne of Orange, and Judy Hoggatt of Houston and five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren and one sister, Mary Lou Townzen Samford (RHS-1949), of Austin. He had four brothers, James Townzen (RHS-1941), Bobby Townzen (RHS-1965), Bill Townzen (RHS-1948), & Jack Townzen (RHS-1944). He died at home on New Year's Eve, Dec. 31, 1998 with burial at Riverside National Cemetery.
