GENE ARNOLD LYON, 69, was born in Dallas on Feb. 17,
1927 and died June 1, 1996, in Rising Star where he
lived with his wife, Reba Nelson Lyon, formerly of
Fort Worth. He was in the Ranger High School Class
of 1944 at Ranger, TX. Gene married Johnie Eaves
(RHS-1945) in 1945 at Eastland and she died in 1986.
They had two daughters, Paula Roberts of Braintree,
MA and Marilyn Jordan of Littleton, CO, and one son
Jack who is now deceased. His second wife, Reba had
two sons, Royce and Charlie by a previous marriage.
Gene was a mortician and had been for about 50 years.
The last nine years he worked for Higginbotham Funeral
Home in Rising Star. Gene and Reba moved to Rising
Star in 1987. They were married in Fort Worth in
1986. Gene was a member of the Masonic Lodge and a
32nd Mason & belonged to the Moslah Shrine in Fort
Worth.
