J.T. BLACKWELL, 69, was born in Ranger, TX on June 20,
1926, and was in the Ranger High School Class of 1944.
He was the son of Bertha McGlothlin & Earl Blackwell,
Sr. He married Emilee Gordon who was in the RHS
Class of 1949. They were living in Bokchito, OK,
when he died on March 30, 1996.
J.T. saw military service when he entered the Army Air
Corps in 1944 during WWII. He trained at Ft. Sam Houston
serving in Japan, Guam, Australia, Luzon, China and New
Guinea.
He and Emilee were married in September of 1950 and had
two sons. He had five siblings, John Earl Blackwell,Jr.
(RHS-1942), Walter Blackwell (RHS-1960), Luella Blackwell
Weaver (RHS-1945), Donna Blackwell Bell (RHS-1956) of
Rankin & Sissy Blackwell Miller (RHS-1963) of Gainesville,
TX. J.T. worked for Lone Star Gas before he went into the
dairy business.
