Ranger Exes Memorial - RHS Class of 1946 RJC

Gene Boney GENE CARL BONEY, 73, of Decatur, TX was born Sept. 17, 1928, in Ranger, TX to Jewell Atkins & Dave C. Boney. He died on Nov. 28, 2001 at his residence, with burial in the Evergreen Cemetery at Ranger. Mr. Boney was a retired systems operator for Texas Utilities Company. He married Marie Ann Harper (RHS- 1947) in June of 1949 in Eastland. He was a graduate of Ranger High School. A veteran of the U.S. Army (Okinawa and Korea), member and deacon of First Baptist Church in Decatur, & member of A.S. Johnston Camp of Sons of Confederate Veterans. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Jack Boney (RHS-1943) and Delbert Boney (RHS-1941). Survivors at the time of his death are his wife, Marie Boney of Decatur; son and daughter-in-law, Rex and Karen Boney of Magnolia; two daughters and sons- in-law, Ann and Dave Alton of Kaiserlautern, Germany and Carla and Roger Weber of Decatur; one sister, Delma Boney Bullard (RHS-1940) of Wichita Falls; two sisters-in-law, Lillian Boney (RHS-1945) of Flower Mound and Clara Mae Boney (RHS-1930) of El Paso; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
