Ranger Exes Memorial - RHS Class of 1947 RJC

Marie Harper MARIE ANN HARPER BONEY, 73, died June 25, 2003 in Bridgeport, TX, with burial in Evergreen Cemetery at Ranger, TX. She was born Sept. 23, 1929, in Eastland County to Ed & Annie Kimmel (RHS-1928) Harper. She graduated from Ranger High School in 1947 and attended the University of Texas at Arlington. She married Gene Carl Boney (RHS-1946) in June of 1949, in Eastland, TX. She was a retired school teacher and previously was a newspaper writer and a manager for a variety store. She was a member of Lucy Holcombe Pickens Chapter United Daughters of the Confederacy and the First Baptist Church in Decatur. She was preceded in death by her parents. Her husband, Gene, preceded her in death in 2001. Survivors at the time of her death include her son, Rex Boney and wife, Karen of Decatur; two daughters, Carla Weber and husband, Roger of Decatur; and Ann Alton and husband, Dave of Kaiserlautern, Germany; brothers, Bob Harper (RHS-1948) and wife, Verna of Pasadena, Fred Harper (RHS-1953) and wife, Ruth of Clyde, Billy Harper (RHS-1951) and wife, Pearl of Abilene, and Tom Harper (RHS-1954) and wife, Billy Lou of Waco; a sisters-in-law, Delma Bullard of Wichita Falls, Clara Mae Boney (RHS-1930) of El Paso and Lillian Boney of Flower Mound; 6 grand-children; 2 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Barbara Harper Thompson (RHS-1956) was her sister.
