Ranger Exes Memorial - RHS Class of 1951

Billy Harper BILLY EUGENE HARPER, 87, passed away on March 5, 2022. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was born on Aug 11, 1934 in Ranger, TX to G. Edward Harper & Annie V. Kimmel (RHS-1928). Billy attended Ranger High School in the Class of 1951. He graduated from Texas A&M with a Civil Engineering degree and spent 30 years working with the U.S. Forest Service in various locations. He was always working on some type of project to keep his mind and body busy. Billy & Pearl Seay (RHS-1952) grew up together and were married for 67 years. Pearl said her mother had picked him out for her when Billy was 6 months old. Billy used to say he was doomed from the start and then laugh and smile at Pearl and hold her hand. His presence and wry sense of humor will be missed. He was proceeded in death by his parents; his sisters Marie Harper Boney (RHS-1947) & Barbara Harper Thompson (RHS-1956); and brothers Bob Harper (RHS-1948), Fred Harper (RHS-1953) and Tommy Joe Harper (RHS-1954). He is survived by his wife Pearl, children Steve (Lonna), Karen (John) and Kevin (Joyce). His grandchildren Bryan (Natalie), Tara (Adam), Lisa (Christopher), Nolan (Breelyn), Shawna (Matthew), Logan (Erin), Kimberly and 12 great- grandchildren.
