JOE CHARLES LAWSON, 70, of Charlotte, TX, died
on Feb. 5, 2007, in Jourdanton, TX, with burial
in Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery.
Mr. Lawson was born on Oct. 15, 1936 in Ranger,
TX to J.W. & Freta Hilburn Lawson. He graduated
from Ranger High School in 1955 and was retired
from the United States Air Force.
He was survived by his wife Dolores Safford Lawson;
daughter, Christa Loftis and family; step daughter,
Teresa Haynes and family and sons, Joe C. Lawson,
Jr. and family, Jerry Carl Lawson and family and
Allen Lawson and family; step sons, Michael Keith
and family, Ricky Keith and family. He is also
survived by his sister, Florence Lawson Cogburn
(RHS-1942) and brother, Robert Lawson (RHS-1944)
as well as numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews
and friends. Another brother, Billy Lawson, was
in the RHS Class of 1958.
