PATRICIA SHAFFER TRUSSELL, 65, joined our Lord in
heaven on Feb. 19, 2004 in El Paso, TX, with burial
there at Ft. Bliss National Cemetery.
Patricia (Pat) was born Sept. 7, 1938 in Strawn,
TX, to Cecil L. & Anna Sadver Shaffer. She graduated
from Ranger High School and Ranger Jr. College at
Ranger, TX. She was a telephone operator in Ranger
before her first marriage to a service man. She
made her home in France, Germany, and other military
cities until 1974 when she moved to El Paso where
she remained until her death. She married Albert M.
Trussell in Dec. of 1978. Patricia was a member of
Christ the Savior Catholic Church for many years,
was a member of the choir, & participated in various
other church activities. Pat was a sales representative
at Glass Apparel, Gilberts, and J.C. Penney's (most
recently). She was a long time sales representative
with Avon. She was an avid gardener and loved to share
the beauty of roses/flowers and her garden produce with
everyone.
Survivors at the time of her death include a son, Charles
M. Darden, Jr. of Jarrat, VA; a daughter and son-in-law,
Carole and Michael Darden, of Virginia Beach, VA; step-
daughter and sons-in-law, Susan and Frank Nicpon of El
Paso and Debbie and Tim Goggins of Woodstock, AL; a
sister and brother-in-law, Linda (RHS-1957) and Bill
Schaab of Manchester, MO; a sister-in-law, Paula Shaffer,
of Metairie, LA; an aunt and uncle, Marjorie and Louis
Janosek of Austin, TX; seven grandchildren, Taylor,
Casey and Alex Darden, Bobby and Cheryl Oxford, and
Paul and Jason Lee; a niece, two nephews, cousins,
and many friends.
Patricia was preceded in death by her husband, parents,
brother, Dr. Walton Shaffer (RHS-1953), and numerous
aunts, uncles, and cousins.
