JOE GILBERT, 51, of Ranger, TX died on July 13,
2001, with interment at Evergreen Cemetery in
Ranger.
He was born on Jan. 15, 1950 in Memphis, TX, to
O.M. & Viola Beatrice (Barton) Gilbert, Sr. He
worked at Possum Kingdom Lake State Park & for
Ranger ISD in janitorial services.
Survivors at the time of his death are a daughter,
Diana Jolene Gilbert Ford of Florien, LA; a son,
Joseph Allen Gilbert of Florien; two brothers,
O.M. Gilbert, Jr. of Blessing, TX and Ronald Dean
Gilbert (RHS-1971) of Brownwood, TX; five sisters,
Starlene Gilbert Hill & Kay Gilbert New (RHS-1965)
both of Abilene, Connie Gilbert Snyder (RHS-1967)
and Deborah Gilbert Reed (RHS-1972) both of Oregon,
and Shannon Gilbert Sampley (RHS-1983) of Ranger;
three grandchildren, Wesley Shayne Ford, Allyson
Elivia Gilbert & Dalton Kade Ford, all of Florien,
LA.
