Ranger Exes Memorial - RHS Class of 1982

Gerald Lewis GERALD JAMES LEWIS died in Collin Count, TX in Nov. of 2009. He was born Aug. 23, 1963 in Ranger, TX. A graduate of Ranger High School where he participated in basketball and football. He continued to pursue his education at Texas State Technical Institute in Waco, TX where he received a Architectural Degree in 1987. He also attended Tarkenton State University where he received an Industrial Engineering Degree in 1990. While pursuing his education he encountered the LOVE of his life Lita Cooksey and they married in August of 1990. During their union they birthed two beautiful daughters Diamond Starr and Jasper Celestial Lewis. Gerald loved to cook, fish, cook, eat, cook, travel, cook, and indulge in thought provoking conversation. THERE WAS NEVER A TASK GERALD COULD NOT COMPLETE, and if he could not figure it out alone he would find the closest book! He had a signature laugh and smile that will be missed immensely. Gerald was a production manager of ten years at Dap Corporation in Garland, TX. He was preceded in death by his maternal grand- mother Della Lewis, paternal grandfather Milford McIlveen, mother Barbara Nadine Jones (RHS-1958), sister Chelsea McIlveen and brother Adrian Lewis (RHS-1983). Gerald is survived by dearest Li (Lita Lewis), daughters Diamond Starr and Jasper Celestial Lewis, fathers James McIlveen, Johnnie Red Jones, brothers Chris Lewis, Billy Jones (RHS- 1976), Ricky Jones, Johnnie Ray Jones, Famous Johnson, sisters Deanna Moore, Angela Morris, a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, extended family & friends.
