R.V. ROBINSON, 89, of Ranger, TX passed away on Jan. 11,
2005, with burial in Evergreen Cemetery at Ranger.
Mr. Robinson was born on Sept. 8, 1915 in Gorman, TX to
J.M. (Matt) & Docia (Patterson) Robinson. He attended
and graduated from Ranger High School. He served his
country during WWII in the U.S. Army from 1945-1946.
He married Doris Mitchell (RHS-1929) in April of 1938
in Ranger. They were married 50 years, and she passed
away in 1989. He then married Zoma Edmonds in 1991;
she preceded him in death in 2004. He was also preceded
by his son Robby Robinson (RHS-1965) & a sister Genova
Aishman (RHS-1931).
He was the owner & butcher of Robinson's Food Market in
Ranger from 1953-1961. He also managed the JRB Grocery &
Market in Ranger & Eastland. Ranching was also a part of
his life. He was an active member of First Baptist Church
in Ranger.
At the time of his death, he was survived by a daughter &
her husband Ann (RHS-1958) & Fred Cross of Snyder, son Jim
Robinson (RHS-1961) of Fort Worth, step-son Kyge Edmonds &
wife Shelia of Garland, step-daughter Edwena Fitzgerald of
Longview, and many grandchildren & great-grandchildren.
