BILLY RAY JOHNSTON, 80, of Ranger, TX, went home
to be with the Lord on May 27, 2017, with burial
in Alameda Cemetery near Ranger.
Billy was born Oct. 19, 1936 in Ranger, TX to Bill
W. & Ima M. Pruett Johnston (RHS-1937). He was a
graduate of Ranger High School & a lifetime resident
of Ranger. Billy married Susie Ann Fojtik in March
of 1957 in Ranger. He worked in the road construction
business. Billy was a member of the Church of Christ.
Billy is survived by his loving wife of 60 years,
Susie Johnston, a son, Charles "Chuck" Johnston
(RHS-1978) of Granbury, TX, daughter, Billie Sue
Seymour (RHS-1976) of Ranger, 4 grandchildren and
8 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by two
brothers; Jerry Johnston (RHS-1965) of Eastland
and Roger Johnston of Cisco, three sisters; JoAnn
Johnston Kinder (RHS-1959), Gladyse Walker both
of Cisco, and Mary Johnston Choate (RHS-1967) of
Bowie.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Bill & Ima,
brothers, Corky and Jimmy Johnston & sister, Lynette
Johnston (RHS-1979).
WIFE: SUSIE ANN FOJTIK JOHNSTON, 81, of Ranger passed
away March 29. 2022, with burial in Alameda Cemetery.
Susie was born Nov. 24, 1940 to Emil & Cleo Fojtik in
Gregory, TX. She married Billy Ray Johnston in March
of 1957 in Ranger. Billy Ray preceded her in death in
2017.
Susie is preceded in death by her husband, her parents,
and a brother, Charles Fojtik. She is survived by her
daughter, Billie Sue Seymour (Kenneth), a son, Chuck
Johnston (Dorothy), four grandchildren and 9 great-
grandchildren.
