Ranger Exes Memorial - RHS Class of 1958

Bill Creager WILLIAM "BILL" FERROLL CREAGER, 80, of Chestertown, MD passed away on July 6, 2021, just as his beloved garden was in full bloom. He was born on Dec. 9, 1940 in Ranger, TX to Willis Ferol & Othel Clearman Creager. The youngest of the three childreen, Bill grew up riding horses and water skiing in local lakes. Guided by his mother, he developed his love of cooking, his eye for antiques, his ear for playing piano music and his passion for painting. Bill attended St. Rita's Catholic School & Hodges Oak Park School in Ranger. He graduated from Ranger High School in the Class of 1958. Bill entered the University of Texas in Austin & graduated in 1963. Being in the ROTC, he entered the U.S. Army serving as a 2nd Lieutenant. He was stationed in Washington, DC and lived there after becoming a civilian. Worked for Project Hope (hospital ship) and then the Federal Reserve Board. Later he became a real estate broker while restoring 50+ houses. Bill is preceded in death by his parents; sisters: Melba Creager Daves (RHS-1948), Lanita Creager Williamson (RHS-1950) and his cherished son, William Ward. He is survived by former wife, Ann Creager Keane; former wife and Will's mother, Mary Lee Martelli; step-children Eleanore Armani and Andrew Armani and his four nieces: Marsha Daves Otterstedt, Amy Williamson Wilcox, Alice Williamson Anderson and Carol Williamson Green.
