JACK ALLEN RAWLS, JR., 67, born Feb. 14, 1941, to Jack
Allen (RHS-1932) and Reba Belle Callaway (RHS-1934)
Rawls, passed on Oct. 8, 2008, with burial in the
Evergreen Cemetery at Ranger, TX.
Born in Ranger, TX and graduated in 1959 from Ranger
High School, attended college at University of Texas,
Austin with a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering.
Jack worked at Texas Instruments Inc. as a developer
of the lap top computer in Austin, TX until moving to
Belton TX to become a founding member of the Texas
Instruments plant. His achievements include the "mark
of excellence" for the portable 2000 by PC magazine
and also the Texas Instruments Plant in Temple TX.
Included is an "honorable mention" by the World News
Magazine for his outstanding and continuing works in
the field. He retired to Weatherford with his wife
and mother to further his career in oil research as
vice president of West Inland Energy Inc. and Chief
Financial Officer for Meridian Oil and Gas. He married
in 1961 to Jennie Lou Walton (RHS-1961) also from Ranger.
They had two sons, Jack A Rawls III (Allen) and Thomas
L. Rawls (Tommy). His hobbies included golf, fishing,
hunting, camping and gardening. His passion in life is
loving the Lord and his unending devotion to his family.
Immediate family members include: Reba Rawls - mother,
Jennie Rawls - wife, Jack Rawls III and his wife Arlene,
Thomas Rawls and his wife Amay. Grandchildren are:
Michael S. Rawls and his wife Kelly, Mindy Gonzales
and her husband Jason, Alexandria and McKenna Rawls,
and great-grandchild, Kiley Gonzales.
