oldpic32 Busy North Rusk Street in Sept. 1919. A number of men made their entire living by hauling spring water in wood barrels ($1 per) by horse or mule drawn wagons. When the oil boom started the population literally exploded in a matter of months and it would have been impossible for all those people to survive had it not been for the spring water.
