Ranger Exes Memorial - RHS Class of 1928

Bernadine Kribbs LOIS BERNADINE KRIBBS BLUE a resident of Mulberry Manor Nursing Home, Stephenville, TX passed away Aug. 9, 1987, with burial in Rose Hill Cemetery, Fort Worth, TX. She was the wife of James A. Blue, who passed away June 18, 1978. Both she and her husband had been career federal civil service employees until their retirements. They had lived in Odessa, Dallas, and Fort Worth during their careers, retiring in Fort Worth. Bernadine was born Oct. 5, 1910 in Bridgeport, IL. She was the third of the seven children of Franklin Phillip & Emma Cruse Kribbs. The family moved to Strawn, TX in 1922, and then to Ranger, TX, in 1924. Bernadine graduated from Ranger High School in 1928. Bernadine was a member of the Order Of The Eastern Star, Cockrell Hill Chapter #971; she was a past Worthy Matron (1962-1963). She and her husband had no children of their own, but they were active in foster parenting and as Aunt/ Uncle to seventeen nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband James A. Blue and parents, Frank and Emma Kribbs, her sister Waldine Kribbs and a brother, Franklin P. (Phil) Kribbs, Jr. She is survived by two brothers and two sisters, three sisters- in-law and a brother-in-law: Gene & Mildred Kribbs of Brecken- ridge, Bill and Geraldine Kribbs McPheeters of Ranger, Yvonne Kribbs Gallagher of Corpus Christi, Merle (Buster) and Sue Kribbs of Dublin and Louise Newman Kribbs (wife of Phil) of Breckenridge. She is also survived by six nieces, eleven nephews, and many grandnieces and grandnephews. Children of Franklin Phillip Kribbs (1881-1971) and Sarah Emmaline Cruse Kribbs (1884-1944): Waldine Kribbs, Geraldine Kribbs McPheeters, Bernadine Kribbs Blue (RHS-1928), Franklin Phillip (Phil) Kribbs Jr. (RHS-1938), Eugene (Gene) Edd Kribbs (RHS-1936, Breckenridge HS-1938), Yvonne Kribbs Gallagher (RHS-1939) and Merle Wilson "Buster" Kribbs (RHS- 1943).
